A 40mm is really small for a PAM mate and will not do your Panerai all the justice is deserves or can do. But, of course if that's what you like, then the 048 is a great choice.

I have tried the 44mm and 47mm, I cannot wear it. I tried a 40mm PAM and it was perfect for me. Plus the PAM 048 has a solid case back that hides the movement. For some reason, I prefer a solid caseback.

Have you had any experience with the 42mm Panerais? http://www.intime.co/panerai/2401-p...y-asso-strap-p9001-free-brown-asso-strap.html

Mate , this is just my little opinion.Wear a 42mm or a 44mm I think that changes little.
Ok if we talk of a 47mm , but 44mm is almost identical to the 42mm.
So , I think if a 44mm for your wrist is too big , it will also be the 42mm.... ;)

That is what I figure. In the end I think the lug to lug would still be similar.

i have a 6.25-6.5 inch wrist.

You have a really small little wrist.... :)
My wrist measuring 8.2'' , so I can wear a little of everything.
Even the watches that measure 40mm , are right right.
I would not know what to advise.
Unfortunately you don't have a Panny wrist.

Cheers

I do not completely agree, I have a 6.3" wrist and I wear a PAM372 (47mm) and in my opinion it looks good.

My wrist is 6.2 and I admit I don't feel comfy with luminor 47mm. Radiomir instead are great.

Luminor 44mm no issues at all they just sit perfectly

I also have a 42mm radiomir and it looks like a discreet dress watch..

I could definitely see what you mean, but I also feel that it is a personal taste and opinion :).

Check out Pam 241 or 248 I think it is. Its a great 40mm Pam if you can find it. Also check out the 43 mm 1950s they should also work for your wrist or the Pam 535 42 mm is also great

Pimsis , I just wrote an opinion. :)The Mate is quite insecure , so I gave an opinion.
We don't dispute at all that we can all wear a 44mm Panerai.
I'ts only a matter of personal taste.
My wife has a very small wrist.
Yet every so often he is wearing my PAM 005....
There is no "right" wrist to wear a watch.

You are completely right! Personal taste and the shape of the wrist are 2 very important factors for being able to pull of 44mm or 47mm PAMs.

Yes, its all a matter of taste. We can have the smallest wrist possible and still wear a 53mm U-Boat. Hahaha, Anyway, Just wanted to update everyone, I pulled the trigger on a PAM312 from the sales forum. If I remember correctly, its 44mm but on the thin side? Am I correct on this? Or maybe im thinking about the 510. Well, as soon as it reaches my wrist I will make sure to post a wristshot! Thanks for all the input!

I think most 15mm thick luminor 44mm case ( 111,510,417. Etc) wears super fine on 6.3 inch wrist,
You might find that 1950 luminor with auto movement too big+ thick ( 312 ,359)

Check this cool video on YT
"Women of Panerai".
These ladies can pull off 44/45/47mm pams without a problem, guys should not worry. It is a matter of personal comfort.

Do you know the thickness? I totally forgot about it being auto will add to thickness.
