40mm PAM reps?

Hi,

I am pretty noob to the reps scene so forgive me if that has been discussed at length somewhere...

I am interested in a 40 mm PAM like PAM 048 or PAM 050 for my girlfriend and would like to ask if there are any current good reps for that case size out there? Has anybody got one?

Yes you are correct "Pans" are supposed to be big" LOL
But every time I have 40mm on my wrist I do receive compliments, more so than 44mm. And to answer OP, no, there are no good reps of 40mm.

No good options besides the MBW, which is still far from perfect. I hate the "everything below 44mm" is for women mindset. A watch can be really nice without screaming "look at my expensive watch!" which seems to be the goal of many on these forums.

Yeah, the quality on those is pretty bad. My wife wears an MBK version and she really likes it. I'm considering buying a gen rubber strap for it so I can wear it.

It is a source if high quality reps from Thailand. Narikka is the only dealer I think that can currently get them.

Here ya go. As you can see, the dial has room for improvement, and the crystal needs AR, but the overall quality of the case set and crystal are spectacular.

If he can get still get them, you should expect it not to be cheap. I think they retail for around $430.

The MBK version looks impressive. It actually looks real close to the real deal. It should pass as a "good" rep....much better than the other ones I've seen in the past. You can compare it with my gen.View attachment 19644

wow, straycat's gen looks even better I wonder if the 'fat' datefont on the gen is a standard date wheel or Panerai custom?

The more I look at them the more I like those 40mm PAMs although 430$ is a little steep...

The date font is standard. The print is kind of "bold". PAMs 40mm are great.
