I have been wondering about the PAMs considering how simple and elegant they look and i was wondering if anybody has come across the 40mm rep Panerai luminor marina? My wrist size is too small for the usual PAM and i thought it was a lost cause until i went to the website and read about their only 40mm model (that i could find).

Anybody PAM enthusiasts know if it exists!?!?!

Yes, it does exist, just use the searchbox and you will find it easily...

...I also have small wrists and won´t wear any 44mm PAMs, but I surely will get one of these on a future nearby...after I get some other rollies that I plan to get.
It´s very nice, too bad the PAM 048 doesn´t come with a sandwich dial, instead of a sausage one...it would rock.

I know the PAM 049 is 40mm too (white dial) and I think the PAM 050 too, if I´m not mistaken.

Cheers,
Spirit.

thank you for the response... i just emailed daytona4me to see if he can get the watch for me. i searched it and trevor carries it but its a ladies watch?? nice price though. i am guessin its unisex. in my opinion some girls look good with a 40mm but most girls don't have that big of wrists.

This is my wifes 40mm Pam from Timeshops.net

I tried it a few times when we first got it and I have to say I liked it even though I usually wear 44mm or bigger.

Don´t worry about any "label" of this or that being ladies watches...It has nothing 'feminine' about this watch, be sure of that.
...I have 6 1/4" wrists (16cm) and I don´t wear anything bigger than 40mm.. This same 40mm is still huge on my gf´s wrist, and she doesn´t feel comfortable to wear any watch bigger than 36mm (Actually, she doesn´t wear any watch).

Panerais are very huge cased anyway, and I don´t feel like wearing a wallclock on a strap anytime soon...That´s why I´ll stick with the 40mm ones :D

Cheers,
Spirit.

I've got a Hont Pam 049 and it is a 40mm.. I don't consider it a "ladies" watch per se, as a lot of Rolexes are less than 40mm.

Watch out for the lume dots. Many reps don't have them perfectly centred over the metal lume markers. That is why I got mine from Hont. He provides a preview pic of you watch.

In fact there are quite a few 40mm Pams, much more than that already suggested.

btw, I have a 6.25 inch wrist, and I also have a Pam 111h , a 44 mm watch.

hont is a good bet, ditto on that

the 048 is a great watch - i liked it enough to get a gen.

they're hard to come by these days but hont seems to have connections to factories that others don't have

you should try to get a 7750 based 048 rep if you can rather than a21j

oh....

and it's not a ladies' watch. I like 44mm pams on women, but this 40 mm looks solid even on a 6.75 wrist

I heard the same thing, that they were sold out... if so, they occasionally come up on here for sale.

but sometimes people like hont and angus seem to be able to get NOS pieces

i recently contacted hont about something that all the other dealers said was long gone and hont seems to be coming through...

i would make sure it's the 7750 version if you do happen to source one from someone...

The first Panerai I saw in real life was on the wrist of a quite nice looking lady in a restaurant in Paris. Fairly sure it was 44m and still looked fine on her wrist [smilie=angel10.gif].

well after emailing daytona4me he said there are no good 40mm pams because they have bad CG's and thin crowns... i would love to inquire hont about the watch but i can't get cto to work for me. hell, i would go as far as transferring pay pal funds to somebody who can deal with hont! anybody try that??

I thought 44mm Pams would be too big for my wrist until I bought a cheap one to try for size. Now, I have five of them. :D I have about a seven inch wrist. They wear fine on me.

Both my daughters (14 and 17 years old) wear a 40 mm PAM rep I gave them. Ordered a 65/95 mm strap from DON, that they both wear on the middle of the 5 available holes. So they really have tiny wrists!! But the PAM's look great on them!

Got one of those from Hont a couple of months ago, the other came from Silix......
