Hi

Can anyone tell me where I can find a good quality 40mm or 42mm rep.

Cheers

4 posts? No other requirements other than size?
What do you think about starting with a once loved watch? No customs worrys. not much $$$.
Take a look at this one.

BTW, I am in no way assoicated with the seller.
Just thought you might appreciate a way to get your feet wet.

it's a great watch but I am really after a Panerai 48, 310 or radiomir chronographs 42mm, and i think you are right and don't mind a pre owned watch at all.

cheers

Unfortunately, your only good options today for a 40mm Luminor or a 42mm Radiomir is the second-hand market.

The only thing currently available as new stock are some lower quality, 21j powered 40mm Luminors.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Keep an eye on the for sale fora here and at the other rep boards.

Look in Pamfried's section, there are some 40mm Luminors that are supposed to be coming out, but I'm not sure if they're available, yet.

if you are in CONUS -- WBK on this forum has some great reps!

check out the member sales threads here and the other rep websites.

post a Want To Buy (WTB) thread on the rep forums ... list what you are looking for, desired movement, bracelet or strap etc.

PM D4M if he has anything that may answer your needs. he has a thread on here about the tag Formula 1

tony of watcheden may have some 1st run 40/42 mm not endorsing him over one dealer but i have checked out his site and he has a nice selection of watches from entry level to ultimate to latest versions, simple 21j, swiss eta (i think) and asian close eta.

happy hunting and when you find and get your timepiece post pics and the such of it!

Not Panerai, no. Honestly, the 40mm Luminors wear bigger than the 42mm Rads. Same with the 44mm Luminors vs. the 45mm Rads. The Luminor cases are thicker, the lugs are more substantial, plus you add the crown guard.....
