Hi,
I'm new here and excited by all the reps I can see here and and after browsing few TD. But I unfortunately have a small wrist and a 40mm watch looks too big on me. I wear an everyday 35mm Lip but I find it too small, so I guess a 38mm would definitely be the perfect size for me.
Do you guys have ideas on brands & model of rep watch offering the 38mm size. I started looking for it on different TD but as it's not possible to filter by size I have to look one by one and only found the Longines master day date on Puretime at this size for now.
So if you have any suggestions, thanks in advance.

You're setting yourself a difficult task by honing in on a specific arbitrary size between 35mm and 40mm. Watches of a stated diameter invariably feel different on the wrist, depending on the shape and design. A vintage 4 digit Sub is 40mm, but my personal feeling is that it feels quite a bit smaller on the wrist than a 40mm 6 digit ceramic Sub. That's just one example taking a reasonably popular model.

However, if you do want a physically smaller than 40mm, then the vintage Daytona is a good choice. Or try a DateJust or a Day-Date 36 - which is a pretty perfect "less than 40mm" size.

But I'd still suggest you find watches you like the look of, rather than like the dimensions of on paper. Then read reviews to see whether the reviewer mentions that the watch wears big or small. You might discover there's a 40mm size watch out there for you!

Thank you for your advice. I confess I rarely had the chance to try different watches except when I was choosing and buying one (which has been rare). I love the look of a lot of watches but the few I tried were looking too big for me past 40mm. I will keep looking and perhaps go to a watchmaker's shop to try few ones and see if some 40mm look smaller than others as you said.

@p0pperini is right, diameter is not the only factor affecting your feeling of the watch. I personally find that thinner watches can also be a bit bigger in diameter. But then you have lug-to-lug, bezel thickness etc. that can affect the visual appearance of the watch.
That said, I also usually prefer to stay in the 36-40 region. My first rep was a simple OP 36mm black dial. Essential. But my favourite is the Explorer 1, and you'll find that in 36mm and 39mm (not sure for how long they'll keep making the 39). I grabbed the 39, at first it felt big-ish, but then I got used to it and (tastes change, too) today it's my favourite rep. I prefer its dimesnion over the OP's. You'll have to try and maybe even give it some time. If you're not happy you can always sell them here m2m with minimal loss.
