Your guess is as good as ours. Your only bet is to get the PAM382 from M2M.

what about finding a gen crown ? would it fit?
OR.... is it possible to even find a gen crown?

I think I might have mentioned all this crown business before on some thread.... but my frustration level is pretty high now so I thought
i would post something about it. lol

skinny crows suck.

ok well.... sorry..... just very unhappy about all this. lol

Or ZF. The ZF v4 is a good watch

BUT.... is ZF 4 solid bronze ? I have not read anywhere that it is. I would not want to take a chance not knowing that ZF was not the bronze that KW is.
Did I miss something ? Is ZF the same bronze as the gen ?

thanks

Its solid but probably not the same alloy as KW

Yeah.... now I remember reading that too.
So how about this.....
would you think it would be possible to ask a TD you get the watch from to order a crown from say.... SF ?
Have you seen their version of the 382 ?

I am using this pic I found online....

http://www.replicawatchvideo.com/pa...sed-calfskin-strap-p9000-clone_92917a8c4.html
the crown is alot better.

so... if you could get it.... would it fit on the KW version ?

just a thought.
so the question is.... can the TD order the crown by itself ? ... and if so.... would it fit the KW version ?

I am thinking there just HAS to be a way around this skinny KW crown problem... rather than just waiting and hoping that the crowns go back to normal.
IF that EVER even happens. lol

M2M might be your only chance. I rejected 3 QC because of the crown. But I was very lucky to score this on a m2m.

I have been trying to find a m2m on a 382 here in the U.S. but have not seen a lot or been to late. Who do you guys think the best dealer is right now that might have one in stock? Thanks

All the dealers here are trusted dealers.... do your research.... tell them what you want .... from what factory.... and ask them to get it for you.
read over Ales PAM guide and read alot here. then you will know what you want.

the trusted dealers on here are here... BECAUSE.... they are trusted dealers.
review the dealers section and read their feedback.

they can all pretty much get the same things. when you ask for something.... they go get it from the factories.
I don't know that they actually keep stock.

if i am wrong about this.... someone will correct me.
but generally.... thats how this goes here.

good luck.

Reason why I stopped looking until a better version comes out or a 382 with fat crown and 7750 movement is on m2m sales. It's pretty annoying. I think they outsource the parts from different makers and they have zero control on the outcome.

I been reading the whole QC 382 posting thread for the last few days... I am up to page 43. lol I have been following your quest for a fat crown.... and all the watches you rejected...
MAN ! there simply MUST be a way to get a fat/ normal crown.

what about having one actually fabricated in bronze... using a normal crown from another KW watch. I wonder who would make such a thing.... and then what would they cost to offer them to members who REALLY wanted one.

I myself would have NO problem with paying for a good crown to complete the watch.

Just my thoughts because I am feeling really hopeless about this skinny crown business.... and it's bothering the hell out of me. lol

A fat crown would make my watch perfect, but I think it is nearly impossible to find one. Correct me if I´m wrong.
It´s the only deficiency I have to live with.

I think there are still a few out there ...luck of the draw really.
I ordered my watch end of May from toro and after rejecting 3 sets of QC pics I lucked onto one with everything correct AND a fat crown.
Truth be told after the first few days I never even noticed that my crown was a fat one ...I was just too enamored with the patina developing.
I never paid attention to one of the number studs that was a little off also.

Gah I can't decide what to do. I really want to pull the trigger on a Bronzo but I don't want a skinny crown and I think my TD would eventually find me and kill me if I asked her to find me a fat crown Bronzo haha

Would it be asking too much to request that? I feel like it'd be a crazy amount of hassle but after seeing these skinny crown versions I can't unsee them haha.

What would you guys do? I don't have a lot of experience with TDs yet. (Although I ordered my first rep, a SOSF from Lucy)
