3777 Comparison

[DRBAFC]

So I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some genuine pieces for the 3777. I didn't observe and compare in detail since the rep seems to be really good and I was busy with a lot of other things.

If you see other things or I point out something wrong, feel free to speak your mind.



Dial:
The texture/color seems pretty spot on. Even the red triangle is an improvement over the Mark XVII.
Flaws:

• The lume is horribly applied. You can see the photos below where they're not evenly applied to the dial. Also it's hard to see from these photos but it has an off-white color compared to the hands and numeral markings (similar to the rep 3717)
• The font looks to be very similar to the gen but the only discrepancy is that the rep font is just a little bolder, as indicated by the "IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN" logo

Day/Date wheels:
- The rep looks just like the gen!

Crown:
- The "Probus Scafusia" engraving on the gen is very smooth whereas the rep is very 'ridge-like'
- They both have the same threading so they can be interchangeable with either the rep or gen tube (3717 was one or the other)

My take on it is that the 3777 is definitely a super rep! It's really heavy too so people think it's real

Looks awesome. Cant get much better than that for a rep. Look at the dial.

The Gen looks much better in that.
If possible please make an Lume Shot as addon.

That is another Part that makes the Different from Gen vs Rep.

Shure? Gen looks a bit smaller at your pics. Would be nice to change the crown without changing the f***ng tube!

I think , in my ignorance , that this rep is very nice indeed..............................:nana:
Avoiding the discourse of the pusher that fall out , the rest I see a great watch.
However , if someone finds too flaws , well , he purchases the gen that it's perfect....................:lol:
In my humble opinion is a very good rep.
