Morning all, my new 372 is losing 5-7 minutes a day. Will the fake plates need to come off for it to be regulated?, is it even worth spending the money to get it looked at? I have 20 reps and this is the first one to lose time so I can't really complain. Thanks

I am not sure if the regulator is stuck in place by the plate but you need to move the one I circled in green in the indicated direction to make it go faster. Don't touch the one marked with red!!!!! Remember, a little goes a long way, try to move it less than a 1mm at a time then time the watch, move it a little more if needed.

^ I believe your assumption is likely incorrect. If it were 1-2 minutes per day either direction then probably this would be sufficient.

When a movement runs several minutes (in this case 5 or more) fast/slow per day that generally means there is a problem that is more than the fine correction there can do.

It could possibly be that something like a hair or gunk or something has dirtied up the hairspring or something like plane travel or being in the cold/hot has changed the viscosity of the oils and they need time to get back to their usual selves again.

Keep running it for a few days and see if it "settles in" a bit. Then try using an app like Kello to find out if you're even close in order to make adjustments.

It is no few variation, but I think you could try the system suggested by smokiedabong. It is easy and without risks

Please check that the regulator head slides but don't hold the hairspring.
It must change its position respect the hairspring but must not move it.

thanks smokie and civic, will give that a try and see what happens. Wait a few days and if no better try the adjustment.
