3035 and 3135 Date wheels - compatibiity?

Hi all,
I have a question for a knowlegeable modder... Can a 3035 datewheel be modified to fit in a 3135 movement? First thing I notice when looking at the teeth on a 3035 are that they are asymetrical, whereas the 3135 ones are rounded..

The SECOND problem.. more problematic.. is that the nrs are closer to the edge on the 3035.. which mean that the tooth mechanism is slightly more inboard on a 3135 movement..

Still, any ideas on putting a 3035 open 6 on a 3135 DW?

wont work , 3035 Dw rotates opposite the 3135 , so even if you got it to fit it would count backwards ...

It doesn’t work in any way... you need a 3135-open 6&9s dw like this :

I feel like a real noob... of COURSE the numbers are turning in opposite directions.. How very Rolex of Rolex.. ARGHHH>..... Thanks for pointing out my noobness.. I mean.. it's only been 10 years I've been playing around with watches... and I'm STILL learning!

I think the 3035 date wheel is smaller in circumference than the 3135 so it sits closer to the edge. Same with the opposite. A 3035 dial on a 3135 will have dates sitting closer to the other edge.

Your best option without an overlay would be to find the unicorn 168000 datewheel. It has the open 6’s 9’s but is for the 3135 caliber.

Hopefully some decent overlays get made soon. I keep forgetting to try to get the different dimensions I made printed.

Similar to this original question, can a gen 3135 datewheel fit on a VR3186 in my clean? or would I have to get a 3035 datewheel? Thank you!

Thing is they have a different date mechanism. Installing a 3035 date disc on a 3135 will result in the date swapping backwards, as the 3035 date flip is counterclockwise while the 3135 is clockwise. They’re printed differently.
