292k H-Factory or 292M

the K comes with a new set of lug bars. not a huge price difference. From what I've read, the K had some issues, but does that mean I should stay away completely?

You should consider 292M from H Factory, is a better option than K. AFAIK noob 292M dial is not accurate (Panerai text position sits too low, like J model).

The reason the Panerai sits lower on the PAM 292J is because of the pig on the dial. Maybe you were referring to the N series, which has the same location of the text but no pig.
