292J TD question

Folks,

I ordered a 292J from a TD and I already approved the QC photos. But before he sent it, the TD said he thought the dial was dirty and he wanted to get it cleaned before he sent the watch. My question is will this affect the integrity of the watch at all? Whether it be the waterproofness or quality?

May be a stupid question, but I'm not used to something getting fixed before it is shipped.

Thanks

I think it should be fine. You should feel fortunate the TD has gone out of their way for you.

No watch is guaranteed waterproof anyhow. Sometimes you get lucky, but usually there are numerous screws and even the caseback that are loose.

Tell the dealer to tighten the screws while he's cleaning the dial. You might benefit from this situation (if the person doing the work is neat).
Never expect rep to be waterproofed.
