You would have to contact the TDs if they can source the ceramic case from the factory.

So much for "stronger than steel..."

Ceramic cases are definitely more resistant to scratches than steel. When it comes into contact with another metal, that metal leaves off some residue which you think is a scratch but is actually easily rubbed off. Unfortunately the chemical composition of ceramic introduces some brittleness which on rare occasions, can cause the ceramic to break off. On the one hand, this is performing very much the same as the gen ceramic PAMs. On the other, it is not a happy day when your ceramic PAM falls on a very hard surface and it cracks or breaks apart.

I wouldn't count on a case by itself -- for the trouble, time and cost you might as well buy a new watch. I would, however, look at transplanting the dial and movement into a new case. Maybe a bronze 6154 or a PVD 3646 or even a hornlug. You could even blow our minds with a new idea. The 292 dial is one of my favorites (with the pig) and it would be a shame to let it go to waste ...

This is a great idea. I'll get out the calipers and see what case the 292 dial will fit, maybe a mini-fiddy?

Mini-fiddy would be awesome. The only hesitation I would have is putting a Radiomir dial in a Luminor case, but I'm also rather particular haha.

The 292 is 44mm I believe, but could a chapter ring of sorts be added to accommodate a 45 or 47mm case? I thinking 322 style?
