2892 VS 2893

Recently we've seen here and other boards that watches with rare movts like 2892 n 2893 are showing up for sale.

Something i noticed is that the 2893 is more coveted and priced MUCH higher that the 2892s. Some 2893 powered watches are ridiculously priced with no mods done to the watch.

Why is that so? Is it becos of the model of watch that more people prefer or its just simply more rare to source for the 2893 movt?

PAm experts pls do chim in what is your take on this.

What adds the appeal to the 2893 over the 2892 is that when used in a rep it's not like your modified 2836's where the 2893 has a true GMT.

Because there are no longer any reps made with a 2893, this also adds to the value. Also, although there is a clone of the 2892 around (which makes them cost less than their 2893 counterparts), there is none of the 2893.
