I have a 1680 coming in the mail but unfortunately there were no 2846 versions, so I settled with a 2836. I've been doing some research and I read that when you switch from a 2836 movement to a 2813 or a 2846 you need new hands and dials. Is this true? I was looking to get a new 2813 movement from Ofrei to swap out the 2836 but I'm confused as to what else I'd need.

2846 is a direct swap. Cheap too on ebay.

A 2813 from Ofrei will need new hands and the dial feet will also be different (though you can use adhesive).

I'm assuming the simplest and easiest option would be to go for the 2846 then since all I would need is the movement. DVNE, what do you search on ebay to find them? All I see is one old 30mm dial with the movement. smiths supply has it new for ~$150.
