Hey all, looking for any general tips for NOT messing up keyless works on eta clones. I try to be careful but I’ve messed up two in the past and have not yet tried my hand at resetting.

- General consensus is remove the stem from the winding position? I read different things.

- depress the detente to reinsert the stem or not?

- rotate the stem while inserting? Clockwise or counter?

Any pointers you’ve picked up would I would appreciate. I have a new one I’m working on and would like to avoid screwing it up. One day I’ll try my luck resetting with some of the tutorials.

No!!! You need to remove it at the TIME setting position (the farthest one out). If you do it at the winding position its amlost guaranteed that it will mess up the keyless and the stem won't go in again and you ll have to remove hands, dial, dw to gain access and fix it.
