I haven't seen any Cali dials for standard Luminor cases. The mini-Fiddy case uses a larger dial than a "normal" 44mm. DSN has the Cali dials, but only for the 45/47mm Radiomir or mini-Fiddy cases.
I think it is possible to grind the dial down and make it fit a 44mm case if nescessary.
The optical result depends on the rehaut diameter. That means if 44mm rehaut is much smaller then 45mm rehaut (more then 1mm?) it "might" look a little off.
But I don`t think so, to me it looks as if there is enough space around minute-markers.
