243 has no "snap"!

Hi guys!

I have a 243 that I bought from Tony. Everything is fine except for the CG lever has no "snap" when I close it after winding. I just closes and doesn't push the crown in any further. In fact, the lever come out just a little bit after I close it.

Is this a difficult fix? I told Tony about it and he asked me to check if the crown screw is loose. What is the crown screw?

in the middle of the Crown Guard there is a little hole where a screw hole which is very small. you can try and ope nthat and tighten that screw... Good luck .

Use a 2,5 -3,0 mm screwdriver to tighten them.

Don't forget to apply some Loctite 243 or 222 to avoid a new loosening
You could lost your CG.

I am planing to take my 243 apart to make the lever snap into place. I guess there is an o-ring just under the crown that gets pressed against the crown tube and makes it water tight, so replacing that o-ring with a thicker more elastic one should do the trick, or is there anything else to it?
