In the midst of purchasing my first rep.

Would greatly appreciate some help from Santos experts!

Just got QCs for my 2018 Santos 34mm, and it would appear to me that the light grey outline (inside the glass) is too thick, especially on top (where the 11/12/1 gets cut off on top) and bottom (where SWISS MADE is cut off completely).

Understand angles can have an effect, but looking through a bunch of gen pics, seems when viewed directly from the face, the top shouldn't be cut off at all (should have more space / wiggle room) and most if not all of the SWISS MADE should be visible.

Santos owners, do you agree with the above? If so, would this be obvious grounds to ask for a replacement?

Thanks!

you are not really abled to reject a watch because of a "flaw" that occurs on the whole version from this maker. So to say if you knew and saw that the GF 35mm Santos got this angle of the crystal that is crossing the Swiss Made you cannot tell your TD that you want another one as it is not a quality control issue.

Beside that every picture of the GF Santos 35mm i checked doesn't show the swiss made from a front view. And a couple of gen shots from hodonkey ( ;) ) and others also don't show the swiss made print.

Maybe you can enlighten us with some more pictures of the bespoken gen pictures you saw.

Thanks for the input, and noted on what you mentioned re: maker flaws. TBH hadn't really checked the stock GF pics against the gens, given I thought each one would be slightly different anyway.

On the frosting issue I mentioned, maybe it's just me, but see below for some examples of what I'm talking about.

The frosting just seems much thicker in the GF.
