OK, so after reading what a few people said about the eBay hellenrou case, I decided to take it out and try again. I had an old 111H kicking around that had died, and was going to ressurect at some point. Since I am not a huge fan of the second hand anyway I decided to use that case.
Oh, I also did some more mods to the crown pin. Where did it go? I don't see it any more. :lol:
You can faintly see it in the third picture.
I did it yesterday, and this is the result. The dial/movement unit fit very nicely inside, and the crystal gleams.
I bought these eyeglass wipes at the drug store. Pre-moistened, scratch free, lint free and anti static. The first time I wiped the inside there was some gross residue left, and I can only assume it was grease or fingerprints or something. The second time I went over with a fresh cloth, it cleaned everything and was crystal clear.
