out of the barn find I made last week, this should be the post with most replies, since the PAM-force is strong in this forum.
A friend gisfted me this Panerai along with another couple of reps (IWC, Glashütte Original, LV) he says originate from 20ish years ago. Now I`m trying to find out what exactly they are supposed to be. Slowly starting to think it's mostly fantasy reps. Scrolling through the immense PAM guide stickied to this section, I can only find single features from different models that have been put together in this rep. Maybe you can help me identify it better, making assumptions on the maker and movements inside.
Whereas the case and general design seems to be a PAM002, there's a lot of other features that are not congruent.
Most evident, the hands, seem to be from a submersible, and not completely correct at that. Then the L-SWISS-L instead of T, the textured dial (hope you can see it from the pics. The crystal has a very faint milky tint to it. The crown is terrible and is the one single feature that I dislike, wonder if that could be replaced...
Other than that, not too bad for a 20-year old rep (I'm not picky, many purists will have bleeding eyes from this, I know, but hey, you don't look a gifted horse in the mouth...)
