Hi to all. New to forum, spent last 3 weeks absorbing as much info as I could-began to realize reps have come a loooong way from the early 80's flea-market stuff I was used to! I already had a gen Rollie and had tried on Panerai's at AD's-thought about buying one since I like the style also but was reluctant to part with the $. When I found the forum and started researching I began to realize I might be able to have my cake and eat it too....so pulled the trigger on the 15th and ordered a PAM 390 (based on great reviews here for a 1st time rep purchase) from Hontwatch. He was a real pleasure to deal with, shipped on the 17th and recieved it today. Here's pics of the new arrival and opening up the box, etc. It's pretty funny to read what the shipper lists as the contents...suffice to say NOT a rep watch, I won't say what so as not to tip customs off as to what to look for! ;)

Anyway-If you are a noob like me, all I can say is go for it, you will be amazed at the quality of what you get, incredible!

Great choice. That Rolex looks puny sitting next to the PAM. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Weirdly enough the Rollie is my daily beater. The 390 just became my dress watch LOL. Wonder if anyone else has that going on? I don't care if the 390 is rep, it owns my Rolex 15210 for sure!

I had a few gen Rollies and, more or less like you, after getting into Panerai through a friend I 're-discovered' the upper echelon of the world of reps and just a few months ago with the first version of the H factory 005k things changed and I sold my last gen Rolex. Now I have quite a few reps and the 390 is one of my favorites, in fact a modder is working on the CG since it is the only thing I can think needs work! Congrats on your choice, it looks great.....

What modds are Goin making in it?
Lume, CG... or you are modifying the Incabloc and SN despite the solid CB ?

Make sure you post when you get it back...though...

I am wondering WHY it needs mods! The newest H maker has NO issues that I can see, CG is darn near perfect, lock pin sits flush and is matte, CG fit to case is gap-free. Dial and hands have no issues. If like Ale asks you are doing internal "invisible" mods I understand-but seems like overkill on a solid CB watch.

Good luck with the mods though! If it is somehow worth it I'll do it too!

It needs a Asso strap instead of a Ferreti-that's all I think it would take to be a darn near 1:1
