Hey all!
Figured I should make this post.
I ordered a JJF 33mm Royal Oak blue dial.
June 17th - ordered.
June 17th - watch is confirmed to be in stock by factory.
June 17th - paid and confirmed payment. QC expected in "4-12 days."
June 27th - Based on posts in this forum, I've noticed that watches without supply chain issues have QC sent within 3-6 days of purchase. And then I've seen people waiting months with no updates. There doesn't seem to be an in-between. As an aside - I was told by some other TDs that the JJFs aren't made anymore, while different TDs said they are, in fact, in stock, and available for purchase.
Given that it's been 10 days, should I perhaps open the options of the watch I'd accept? I'd take any dial color of the same watch, but need the same metal color and same bezel. I'd prefer JJF over ZF, since the bracelet geometry is much more gen-accurate on the JJF.
In y'all's experience, if I've had to wait for 10 days so far, does this mean it will likely take months for my watch to come? Will opening up the "options" of watch I'd accept (within my specific bounds described above) help in any way? Please let me know if you have some background on how these supply chains work. Thanks everyone!
