I think ill start on the sad truth that this was my first Rep purchase on what was a number of days short of 10 year anniversary on RWI. The timing, or the taking so long to pull the trigger.

I was happy to come across UK Rep, with fast post and really positive feedback.
The communication and process has been thought out and made so simple. Read the instruction post within Repsource UK area and away you go.

I decided on the VSF Aqua Terra Navy i am very pleased with it. Its a daily and will put some wear to it. Ill plan for my next one as soon as something i like becomes available.

It took you a decade and this is the rep that finally was the one you decided on? What about this rep sold you over all the other ones? Well maybe it won’t take you another decade to decide. There’s so many great ones to choose from. I’ve got the exact opposite problem so pay me no mind brother. Congrats on your finally getting your cherry busted🤣

So the rep and watch did not take me 10 years to form a decision. 10 years ago most reps required overseas shipping and an extended wait for your goods etc. I decided on this rep because of proximity, availability, shipping options and communication. All the reviews checked out and feedback was great. Regarding watch, what i did want was a vsf factory watch and the Omega because it had a good rep reputation. I decided on aqua terra i prefer the pre 2018 dial/face with the vertical stripes. As to the 10 years really prioritise (family, kids)

LOL thanks! Maybe another watch to celebrate the first watch purchase!

I was just having a little fun with you brother. God knows I understand the problems with buying reps in years gone by. As a matter of fact I got away from them about 10-15 years back because of those issues. My supplier got arrested at the flea market in Jacksonville Florida selling counterfeit goods and that ended the good times for me. If one didn’t have the product in hand it wasn’t worth the chance of buying. There was some decent stuff but mostly junk.
Nowadays with the TD’s we have one can purchase without any worries. My first time using Repsource but I’ll be buying more from them. I snagged an inexpensive Batgirl for like $200 usd that is surprisingly good. It’s nearly as nice as the $500 clean model except for the bracelet clasp. You can find nice Clean bracelets for around $100 if you check the members sales posts. I lucked up and found one a month or two back for $50 and put it in my parts box for future reference. My new reps clasp lost a pin upon opening so I found a use for my spare. Some people might have been unhappy with the rep but bracelets are one thing factories go cheap on. That’s why I pic up spares when I come across a Arf or Clean. Everything else about the rep is damn good. The Rolex GMT setting is unique and the factory was able to produce a rep with identical setting of the gen. When I put the watch on the timegrapher the numbers were great. It has a loss of like 3 seconds a day and amplitude between like 260-285.
Yours is a great looking rep. I’ve been thinking about getting an omega myself. One that the gen uses an eta movement if there is such. If you know of any please let me know.
I’m happy with my purchase too. Like I said I was just joking around with you. I seen your review when I went to post mine and couldn’t resist. As you can see I enjoy talking watches so feel free to message me anytime if you have any questions or just wanna chew the fat as they say. Have a good evening.

Yes I enjoy bouncing thoughts off others about these things.
I probably would’ve looked past them without a second thought but for a friend of mine who recommended it over a GMT with the a2836 movement. Upon doing my due diligence it appears that they’re actually BP factory watches. In my experience BP makes a solid rep. I’ve been buying their a2836 submariners so that I can swap their movements to genuine Swiss movements when they need maintenance. With their initial cost of only about $300 and the $200 -$300 for a Swiss movement they’re a much better choice for me than any of the $500 reps most people buy. The a2836 movements are usually direct swaps so no additional parts are required plus most watchmakers are familiar with them.
Some people new to the rep game don’t realize that reps oftentimes require maintenance shortly after receiving them. Reps aren’t always assembled with the care taken with legal factories. Then the buyer is left with a watch that needs maintenance. There’s a few watchmakers on rwi that will work on reps but parts can be a problem on certain reps and the trusted watchmakers are always busy. That’s why I moved on to movement alternatives to Rolex 3235 3285 or their predecessor's.
I’m older and think a watch that one pays several hundred dollars or pounds for should last a bit longer than a year or so. I’m from an age that we took our watches for repair once in a blue moon.
Sorry for going on and on about this stuff. It’s just some things that I’ve learned. Have a good day and enjoy your new hobby

Not at all, I was still born in the generation where parents installed manners in kids give up your seat hold the door etc, and reminded we have two ears and one mouth. I can see why you like good components well priced!

I have been on the look out for a watch winder box. I am at the moment looking over some imported via AliExpress £20-£24 pound ones. If you had any thoughts on watch winder box.
