1st order with PureTime - Long QC normal?

1st time ordering with PureTime. It was for a IW328201 from ZF.

Timeline so far.

- February 25th: Ordered
- February 26th: Payment Confirmed. Was informed to wait 2-3 weeks for QC.
- March 26th (4 Weeks from payment confirmed): Checked in. PureTime said it will be delivered to them in next few days for QC and to expect it by end of the week.
- April 9th (2 weeks from last update on March 26th): Didn't hear anything after last week's email. So I inquire for an update. Was informed that ZF delivered them the wrong watch, and will try their best to get the correct one ready and shipped by next week.

Come today, almost 2 weeks from the the latest update. Almost 8 weeks from payment confirmed. Still got nothing.

I know what I am getting myself into for this rep game, and is willing to wait longer. PureTime is a TD here, so I trust them. So I am still waiting and is excited to one day get the rep!

But... is this normal? I kept thinking if I did something wrong too, but I checked the site I ordered from, and contacts looks right.

In any case, still waiting for QC and next steps. Will update post and review when the watch is received.

Sounds normal, some factories only release new batches once a month. So if you are unlucky and there is a waiting list for the model you want, the waiting time can quickly stretch to 2-3 months.

My personal experience, spread over many different TDs, is that sometimes it takes 3 days to get QC images, other times it has taken months. It depends on a lot of factors and there is no "normal".

Puretime are solid, nothing to worry about :)

Welcome to patience and frustration all rolled into one. The real concern is going to come once the watch is in customs. Then you have to do much wishing and praying. Try not to obsess over it too much. I know I am.

I had issues. I ordered from them and paid immediately, two full months later still no word.
Finally they tell me that my watch is no longer available….two months after payment.
I had to pick another and that took over a month.
I just would not order from them again.

Finally they tell me that my watch is no longer available….two months after payment.
I had to pick another and that took over a month.
I just would not order from them again.
That's just how it goes sometimes, the TDs are not able to control the factories that produce and deliver the watches.
If a factory decides to cut production on a model, you're out of luck. And it's in no way the TD's fault.

It’s quite common in this game. I’ve ordered a X watch from a TD in January (stupid me knowing there was CNY coming), beginning of April the watch wasn’t available anymore, i didn’t panic (I’ve ordered before so I know how it works), I just asked a similar watch, they’ve confirmed it and received it last week. It’s all about patience and compromise sometimes, these are not your city boutiques, it’s part of the game! But you’ll get your products sooner or later. It’s a very intricate system and not as straightforward as we think.

Gotcha gotcha. Yeah. Sounds like I am in a similar situation, and will probably get a similar watch instead.
Like you said, patience and compromises. Sometime TDs just don't have control over certain things, but I do notice they try to work with us in those situations.

Yes, sure, you can email Marie too, with your order number. There is V7F or M+F for the same watch but a bit more expensive.
Sounds good.

I email Marie about switching to the V7F one, she informed me that it cost a bit more. But she gave me a small discount due to the delays so far; I am very grateful for that. I agree with the extra cost and is waiting for her to sent me a payment request now.

Agree from comment on patience. My personal expectations in the past is to allow a month for QA photos if ordering popular model, then another month for shipping.
