I had a 210 from River for about 6 mos before I sold it and it was fine. If you're careful when screwing down the crown, you probably won't have any problems. I'm sure you've read it here before, but applying light inward pressure while turning the crown in the UNscrewing motion until you hear a soft click, then proceeding to screw down the crown is the method of choice. I use this method for the lug screws on Luminors, the tiny lug screws on the Rads and *any* screw-down crowns....

i like the 183 (my first Pam) but knowing if i made it my everyday id prob get the stripping. Thinking maybe I'll pick up something as an everyday beater. possibly a 177. I do remember sometime ago seeing a Davidson 6152 with a rolex dial. I believe is was his Rolex/Pam mix. Thought it was sweet and Id love to get my hands on that.

The only thing that prevents me from getting the Black Seal is the screwed in crown.

Why do they have a screwed in crown on a manual winding watch is beyond me...

The lug screws could be problematic too....
