177 or 111

I can't decide between these.
The polished bling of the 111 or the rough and tough look of the 177?
What do you guys think?
The weight of the steel or the lightness of the ti?
Is it easier to cape cod a 111 or brush a 177?
What is the better rep, now that we have a noob v3 of both?
Regards.

I think the 111 is a "better rep."
I've had both in my hands, and I just prefer the 111 for some unknown reason.
that said, I prefer the 177 as a watch.

I've had numerous of both in reps over the years, at least 5 of both.
the 177 is probably my favorite pam, I really like the titanium. I'm not
much of a bling person, so it fits better with me I think.

I think you can fix a 111 case far easier than a 177. polishing ss is pretty
easy to me vs brushing titanium. I leave my titanium scratches if they happen.
they tend to fade away actually over the years. but with my ss cases I prefer
to polish out the scratches when they happen.

I'd choose the 177, pretty much hands down. I decided against it though, and
instead I went with the 61D. like I said, I've had at least 5 177s in the past. the
61D broght something new, two things actually. brown dial and closed case back.
both things I like.

just today though, I find myself in black and grey and I don't have a watch to
go with it. so it looks like I need both the 61D and probably a 176 too.

177 is light. I have three because I love them so much. Only beware that titanium is easily dented and scratched. But it is a very nice material.

Sundance, I had same "problem" as yours a few months ago.
I wanted to understand why people love Panerai and buy one.
I ended up wondering : PAM 111 or PAM177?

I decided to go for PAM 177, because I believed the polished stainless steel of the 111 was not for me. I don' regret my choice, I love this watch.

But as both models share the same nice design... choice is not easy.

I own both the H factory 177L and 111 as well as the H factory 005. so you will probably end up buying both the 177 and the 111 eventually.

Not better, just different. The 111 is a super rep and is really nice just a different style.

I am looking at getting a 177 for my first PAM rep, the titanium look is more my style as well.

I was having an e-mail conversation with fakemaster and he said that most of the 177 reps use faux titanium, does anyone else know about this? The one I am looking at is a noob from Puretime, it says "high grade solid titanium case." I'm not terribly concerned if it's not really titanium, it is an expensive material and difficult to work with so I can understand, I'm more interested in it for the look more than anything... But saying it is titanium when it's not, that's what I have a minor issue with.

Just an update here:

I decided to go for the 111 from ryan.

I figured the polish look was more for me, plus the advantage of being able to easily take a cape cod to the watch in case of a scratch or two. Also, somehow the thought of it being a heavier watch swung the deal in it's favour.

Regards.

my buddy chose the 111 too, he likes the "heft" of the stainless and even asked
for a bracelet too for once in a while.
