Before I get started, full disclosure my friends and I ordered a number of watches from Andrew in the Autumn of 2010. No issues with the transaction, we in total ordered 6 watches from him over the course of a few weeks. I had been out of the rep game for some years buying a few older Gen rolex sport modes and a Tudor HBB while on a trip to Macaw.
Well, things happen, jobs change, and with that, income changes, but my love for watches hasn't adjusted with my salary!!! So here I am, getting my feet wet again.
I accidentally put my Rep 1665 comex in the dryer, it was in a pocket of a jacket, and it totally ruined the watch. This was a few years back. And knowing Andrew sells a very economical comex SD with an Asian 2813 automatic, I figured I'd start here with a replacement 1665 and if the deal goes smoothly, I can order more pieces.
I ordered Friday, and sent funds via PP, and the watch it scheduled to arrive via DHL tomorrow.
I was real surprised about this very fast process (I only approved the QC pics Saturday morning) but as it stands, the parcel is already in Cincinatti (going to South Florida) ... needless to say I'm excited and anxious!
I've attached the QC pics here and will post live pics and overall outcome upon receipt, which--fingers crossed--should be tomorrow.
