I think it's hard enough to find a TC of any kind, I don't know that holding out for a Kermit would be the best strategy.

Personally, I think you'd have better luck finding an LN (which will be hard enough) and swapping the insert. I don't think there's any difference in the LN and the LV, other than the bezel insert (apologies if I'm wrong).

TC stopped making his subs in 2017. M2M is your best bet but even then it's hard to get one due to the demand.

The 3 main rep models currently in production (for 16610) are ARF, RAF and BP.

Btw LV has a maxi dial and wider hands, as well as the insert difference you mentioned.

Unless I'm mixing things up, someone told me before the dial is different (maybe hands too)

I had planned a similar conversion years ago, but was shown the error of my ways.

Ah, learning something new every day. In that case, either hold out for a TC LV or be prepared to spend a lot on gen parts...ugh.

Thank you all.
But the Kermit sold by TDs today, it is listed as arf but it is actually a Raf ? Maybe I had misunderstood.

They have differences.

The 'ARF' LV has a mismatched lume. It is lighter than the hands. The 'RAF' LV does not have this.

But...the 'RAF' LV tends to have a protruding crown tube and many people countersink this. The 'ARF' LV does not have this.

And...the 'ARF' LV accepts gen / gen spec inserts. The 'RAF' does not.

Check out the Rolex sub forum as there are over 100 pages written on these watches.

I thank you,
I have read the discussions you pointed me to, also the 2023 one on the release of the new 16610 / 16600 with vr 3135.
But the problem remains that of the case, because dial, hands, insert, are easily replaceable; the non gen spec case cannot be improved more.
I am working out the usual franken design.
