Hello all . I have lately got this huge urge to obtain / build . So i had quit a few discussions with many member that own 16610 LV different factories and builds . The huge problem as for now is the matching dial and hands lume ! So i have conclude that the best dial for now other than GEN or 16610 LN with 16610 LV indices is the BPF , but with the jumbo hour hand i dont want to buy the set . So i wanted to ask Have anyone tried BPF dial with ARF or GEN hands ? Or what ever other hand set out there . Thanks a lot !

I might be wrong, but I think I remember reading that a lot of people replace them with sillan hands. On a side note, gen hands will be mega expensive for the LV and not worth it

Short of reluming both the dial and hands* i don't think you're going to get an exact match from mixing different factory parts.

You'll get 'pretty close' as you are already aware.

Edit:

I would also extend the above to mixing genuine and rep parts - genuine lume may not exactly match rep lume etc.

*Also worth pointing out that even if the exact same lume is used on both dial and hands there can still be a shade or two variance under certain lighting conditions due to the fill depth of the dial lume plots vs shallower hand lume application.

Yes i get what you say so if we consider re reluming both dials and hands I assume we keep BPF dial . So now which hands got the best shape and form and also for the metallic " part " to match that i dont think that it will be hard .

I would pick BP case set cause of the bezel . I was thinking from what it is available I would go for arf or sillan ( some have told me is the same case ) and I would pick vr 3135 oe vs3135

I knew what you meant. BP does have nicer crown guards and it's great out the box.

That said they have an engraved rehaut (which is not to everyone's taste) and a 6 digit bezel assembly.

As always, pick your factory, pick your flaws and mod what you don't like.

Is the actions as bad as with 16710 ? Yea i dont know but the bezel ( and maybe the bezel action i haven't check it ) with the jumbo hour hand make it hard for me .

Maybe this will be useful, at least to compare lume in the same lighting of BP dial and sillan hands.
