Hi guys, my name is Andrea and I'm Italian. I have a 16610 LN on ARF basis, with a gen glass, gen insert and gen date disc. I would like to replace the hands with used gen or high quality after ones. Can I have some advice and indications on what to buy?
Thank you

thanks everyone for the replies. Incredibly kind

What a lovely, entitled attitude you have. We shouldn't have been busy, living our own lives. We should have all catered to you. My apologies.

I'll help you out. The stock ARF/RAF hands are as good as you can get without buying gen hands. There are no aftermarket hands for a 3135 that are better.

Look on Ebay, Chrono24, etc for gen hands. The M2M sales area here has a Watch Parts section, where you may find them. I assume you still haven't found any in the 2 weeks since you posted this topic, since you came back with that despondent comment. Have you used Google before?

Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately it is not easy to find used gen at a good price on the internet.
I was hoping that someone here had qualitatively superior alternatives to ARF, like Vietnam, etc..

Best regards

ARF hands are good as you will get without buying genuine. To be honest I would not bother, it'll not make you watch look any more genuine, ARF hands are great, only difference is gen are white gold and not quite as silver as the rep ones but you would need them side by side to see then, even then..negligible. Thats $400 is better spent on another rep.

Thanks, your advice is very helpful. What modification do you recommend for my Franken?

Send it to me for refinishing, I’ll send it back and it’ll ‘feel’ like a Rolex as well as looking like one.

Hey brother if it can help I found some on chrono24 but they’re expensive (around 400€). I also have my watchmaker who can find them but they’re at ridiculous price (550€ or so). Honestly I wouldn’t change them unless you feel it’s so easy to spot the rep

The latest manufacturing batch of ARF 16610 hands were probably the closest to gen. They had correct looking hour hand, thinner seconds hand, and better attempts at finishing the seconds hand so that it doesn't look flat.

The prior to the latest batch of/ the typical ARF 16610 hands look great, but I find their seconds hand having problems: they are slightly too thick, their tip isn't tapered enough, and their finishing is too flat.

Some batches of ARF 16610 used 116610 hour hands that were relumed to superluminova green. In the gen world, the 16610's hour hand looks different to 116610's hour hand although this is often overlooked.

In my conclusion, either stick with the ARF hands or upgrade to gen hands set. It is unlikely you will find any better and accessible aftermarket 16610 hands.

To each his own I guess, but personally hands are the easiest tell to look for on 5&6 digits. Gen hands have that very slight bevel on the hands edge that will outline the whole shape and make them « 3d » or « pop » as some would say.

Only ARF has/had a passable version but only on their 6 digits model

As others have said, WSO is not great.
