hey everyone
ive been looking to get either the 15400 or 15500 by ZF but since I never saw the 15500 Gen irl Its hard to decide.
I know ZF watches are slightly thicker than gen. but I also know 15500 is thicker than 15400
I wonder for the people who have both. do you feel a difference on your wrist? does it makes a difference at all?

Where I need to be.
There are many threads addressing this already. Please do a search instead of starting a new topic. I’m sure you can get your answers many times over.
Thanks.

Tricky choice. The 15400 has the more classic proportions of the Royal Oak. With its larger dial and bolder dial and date font the 15500 is more modern and sporty. Both are the same great quality. Here is a photo side by side.

does the 15500 feels more thick? anything noticeable from the 15400?

Not really. They are extremely similar. Personally I like the 15400 more, but both are delightful and you would be pleased with either. Get the one you like the dial of more as this is a far more important distinction.

Not upset at all. Just informing you that this has been asked and answered many times over. If I’m really upset about it, the thread would have been long gone.

oh well
is there any guide or what is ok to post? if all questions probably answered here.?
also I saw a lot of comparison between 15400 and 15500 but I couldn't find people who have both talking about thickness differences and how it feels on hand.
maybe didn't do the right search
thanks anyway..

Yes, it's called common sense and trying to read about something prior to blindly expecting to be spoon-fed.

If you hate the automatic definitely get the 15500. Oh and you may want to be nicer to the section and super moderators... you will stand to lose your account which isn't worth it for the sake of a few pithy replies. :xd:

you're nice and I appreciate that!
I do see many posts about the 15500 and 15400 but not many people actually talking about thickness and differences on wrist. which was my question. I really think it was a fair question\post as not many spoke about that specifically.
but If they find my post a "Shit" post no need to make me look "stupid" just lock it and move on.

All new questions are fine. Reviews and sharing of info are fine. Announcements and “how to” threads are also good. But there are a few threads here which dealt with the 15400 vs 15500 or threads which contain info about this already.
Regarding the thickness and feel those definitely have been covered numerous times in a few of the threads already as well. So asking you to do a search was perfectly reasonable, both for your own sake and others.
If everyone starts a new topic just because they want to, regardless of existing info, it will just create clutter and a lot of redundancy here and make it a lot more messy to navigate for everyone eventually.
What I pointed out was simply factual and it is not necessary for me to be emotionally involved.
Not necessary also to lock the thread. If a fly enters a room, there’s no need to impose a “seal and fumigate” approach is there? My purpose was to inform you that the info you seeked exist in a few threads at least. I’ll leave you to decide which is more efficient: looking for info which already exists or seeking new opinions. You can decide that on your own.

Don’t worry about it at all apicedout.

Nobody is going to lock your thread, stop your discussions or get personal with you. Like you said it’s just a platform for an exchange of opinions and my initial post was merely for the sake of efficiency, nothing against you at all. I would have said the same thing had anyone started this same thread.

Please carry on your discussion and I just wanted you to be reminded that sometimes it may be better and quicker for you to get your answers from the existing threads in the forum.
I hope you get the information you seek.

There is always something we can learn from one another. I’m a teacher as well as a student. And so are you. And each of the guys posting here. If we take time to focus on the knowledge and contents on this forum and less on rank and perceived status, we actually stand to gain a lot more.
Let’s keep your thread here for the benefit of the new guys. It will likely grow to become another source for the same subject. Subtract the parts about throwing sand at one another, this can become a useful thread for the perusal of the newer guys.

Have a good one, and try to play nice toward others.
