Just got a new digital camera, so I can finally take pics of my new baseball strap on my 127. The signature is Gene Tenace, who made his debut with the Kansas City Athletics on May 29, 1969 against the Detroit Tigers facing Denny McLain. Cool stuff.

Here ya go:

A work of art!

What a work of art! Tell me again how you made the baseball strap, please.

LTZ,

Thanks for the great pictures. Looks even better with the right setting and mounted. Glad you like it.

Thanks to all for the compliments. I really appreciate it. :D

Holy cow... as a new convert to the cult of the Fiddy... All I can say is "wow"... I am in love with that strap...

By baseball I'm assuming an only baseball mitt is the source for the leather?... *please excuse my ignorance in the strap world... I'm kinda new to them, until recently was a strickly bracelet kinda guy*

After my budget for wrist candy recovers a bit I may have to look into adding a strap of this type to my collection... Beautiful strap you've acquired LTZ and a fine work of art you've created tootall... I salute you both.

This is a great concept, I can think of many more ignominious ways a prized mitt could end up.

That's a rather rude comment. I don't see what's shameful in taking a glove and making a strap from it. The glove was not being used to play with anymore, so what makes it shameful?

Everyone else,

Thanks for the compliments. LTZ did a great job on the pics. The glove strap is a quite a bit more work, but I definitely think it's unique piece that enhances the vintage models. :)

Where can I purchase this basebal strap?

This was custom made by me, to LTZ's requirements. It's not something mass produced.

Tootall, I think you are reading Enzo's post backwards. What I read in that statement is that this is a much better "life" for an old mitt than collecting dust in some bin in the garage....

Looks great, BTW. I love the coloration. I've seen baseball straps that are much more yellow colored than that and wasn't a fan. This one I LIKE!

Hey hooligan,

I will give him the benefit of the doubt. It's just that in english when you say "many more" that means in addition to what is already existing, so I took it to mean mine + more, know what I mean?

Thanks for the compliment. I like this color as well. I got some new leather dressing that makes older worn out leather look like gold!

nothing.

it appears you read this in a mirror, or with the translator set to: Antonym ... my sentence is indeed a compliment. The first hint would be the phrase, this is a great concept ... follow by the implied statement that there are a lot of worse things you could do to an old [disused] yet prized mitt. Simply the act of making it into a strap would be a totemic way of holding onto that past, both in emotion and memory.

Hey enzo. I apologize for misunderstanding your comment. The last post I put up says why I did. Thanks for the compliment I appreciate it :D
