126710BRLO Gen Crown & Tube

I recently bought a gen crown and tube for my 126710BRLO rep (among many other parts) and was planning on having it installed. I spoke to the guy that is going to be doing work on this watch for me and he said that installing the gen tube may be more trouble than its worth. Is this true? My goal ultimately was to have as many gen parts on this watch as possible, but I don't want to negatively impact the functionality/water resistance of it.

Mine was installed without trouble from a Trusted Watchmaker here on RWI and I think it's most definitely worth it, especially because you already have the parts. The case will probably need to be re-tapped for the gen tube to fit, but I don't believe that to be a major endeavor (although I'm not a watchmaker). Mine passed a waterproof test after installation as well.
