116509
Sorry for bad photos, CF stock, bracelet polish, wg plating:
116519 Meteorite
BTF base, Nikz meteorite dial, wg plate, movement service. Purchased as an already made watch that he had available ready to go.
Only change I made was a swap to CF oysterflex.
Been a pleasure working with Nikz both times, he runs a tight shop! Shipping to Italy from the US is a bit of a pain in the ass, but use a business shipping service and it’s around $50-70 instead of the consumer price of like $130 via UPS. Nikz uses one of these services likely and charges about $50 from him to me. No issues with customs, Nikz tells you what to write too.
Objective review:
116509:
Bracelet refinish: 9/10 (some marks that probably could have been fixed better, some loss of brushing on the edges from the polish)
WG Plating: 9.5/10
Quality of work/cleanliness: 10/10, no dust, fingerprints or other shit on the dial/inside of the crystal.
116519 premade:
Meteorite dial: 9.5/10 (-0.5 because of printing, only thing that could be improved. It’s great already though, so only half a point)
WG Plating: 9.5/10 (residue left on watch, slightly different tone to the 116509, again nothing major, love it)
Quality of work: 10/10, top notch environment again, no dust/prints/etc.
Price:
8/10 - a little pricey, but he does a great job! If you can afford it, go Nikz without a doubt. Pricing makes sense when you realize he’s a little bigger than a sole watchmaker, and has employees
more overhead cost than most I imagine
