I gotta say after having seen the DSN 112 in the flesh last week, the rep is good, real good, but one of the things that kills me is the “Officine Paneraiâ€

saw your post on risti ;)

Great watch, great choice.

I would also choose a base if I were to get a gen.

Nice - but I would buy the rep myself.

You know what CJ - I thought about this A LOT myself...I mean a lot, a lot, a lot...these gens ain't cheap (no sh!t), and there's mucho stuff one can do with a big stack of clams...in the end of the day though, it was worth EVERY penny...I had that sweet DSN 112 in my hands LAST WEEK, and now that I've got the gen on my wrist, there's absolutely no comparison…problem is, I can’t explain why…it’s 10x the $$ for 5% improvement…doesn’t sound like a very good argument in support of the gen, but the read deal’s the real deal…

That's the worst rep I've ever....

Heheh, congrats on the new watch!

I love the base PAMs so much more than all the rest. 112/176 all the way for me. So clean and simple. Nothing like understated elegance..

VERY NICE!

nothing like a genuine watch.

i have owned a Pam24G, then a Pam112H, then a Pam111F. ive had over 50 rep Pams and none were like the gens.

i ended up with a gen Evo now and love it!

Very nice choice! Wear it in good health.

PS: You might want to erase that serial number from these photos..You don't want a -risti calling you out for the rest of your collection ;) And yes, they do visit the dark side...

Very nice Gen and your right the base models are simply put ' BEAUTIFUL", and your right its is a good chuck of money and a gen is a gen. I keep going back and forth over the watches i have and in the end i have 4 highly modified watches probably worth close to 5K and i dont think i could sell one of them to get a gen as I like wearing each and every watch and all of them have the jimmy fu crown guards, correct date wheels, palp crowns, lume job, etc it like people say once you have a fully modified watch odds are you will never get that piece back again and for the small flaws I can live with that.

My coolection as it stands today

Pam03 - Gen dial and hands, jimmy crown, this one is 99% spot on to genuine
Pam196 - old case 196 -7753 - fine pics date wheel, palp crown
Pam29 - 2893-2 finepics date wheel, jimmy crown, lume job
Pam63 - 2893-2 fine pics date wheel, jimmy crown, lume job

The one thing i love about these Pam base models is you can get sick of it today and still sell it for what you paid, they hold their value and the popularity is ever rising so its an investment, wear it well.

Oh BTW can you have your wife call my wife, i would love to get a present from my wife that was a base model pam.

I thought about this, but you know what...everyone here appreciates nice watches too, and just about everyone here has, has had, or will someday have their sites set on a gen! Those guys over at ‘risti are good people, and they’re a wealth of info on the brand, but they’re also sort of like an elitist fraternity…and frankly, I feel more comfortable here!....ie: look at all the positive feedback my post has received here vs. my post there....don't get me wrong, I don't give a sh!t if people respond or not, it just confirms my point...and here's the thing about other people and their perception (or lack there of) of my (or anyone else’s) watches; If I were wearing a rep PAM no one would ever assume it was fake…most of the people I roll with wear gens, and I know enough about the brand to swing it…in the end of the day though, It’d still be a rep, and I’d be at peace with it…exact same thing goes for a gen…if someone else perceives it as a rep for some reason, that’s fine…jokes on them, and I’m no worse for the wear…maybe it’s that piece of mind (confidence) that validates the 10x price difference…the knowledge that no matter what anyone else thinks, it is what it is.
