Newbie here to PAM rep's...

Saw this pic from ALE's reference guide and love it...
I assume this is the 112. I noticed he had a ton of links on where to buy, but how do I choose? Any advice? And where can i get that strap too?

Thanks! And sorry if there is another post similar to this out there. Appreciate your help/advice in advance.

Hi marcd3
Firstly some politeness: Welcome to RWI from Spain

The PAM GUIDE is imposible to update everyday completely. For this reason some replicas are not explained as thoroughly as others. But many concepts are applicable.
For example all info about PAM 111 is applicable to PAM 112.
Therefore, the best choice to buy is the last versión N-series from Noob for PAM 112.

Concerning strap please do some investigation with our strap makers.

Good luck

I've got a PAM112, can't remember if it is M or N, and it is a beautiful watch.

First step to buying one would be to pick your version (+1 on ALE's recommendation here, the Noob N) and then look in the Trusted Dealer area to see if any have them on special offer.

If not, have a read of the reviews to see who sells a lot of PAMs. I ended up buying both of mine from Toro and both were perfect, however, I buy all my other watches from Sead and am sure he'd source me a good one too.

Once you've chosen your dealer and watch, you can ask them about straps. Some will be able to get a range, some won't. Regardless, the really nice straps come from the strap makers listed in the dealer and/or Supporting Vendor section, however, you won't be able to buy one as you're going to be broke from all the PAMs you buy!

I promise you that you'll have more than one before the end of the month, they are an addiction which no one can get over.

In case the OP comes back....Save your money for some nice custom made straps. skip the replica straps from the TDs. $50 bucks can get you an average quality machine made replica from a TD or a handmade, gorgeous, one-of-a-kind piece from one of our trusted sellers. Check the strap sales section to see what I mean.

Custom straps are the way to go. The only oem rep strap I use is the rubber one. All my leather ones have been from tootall.

So after contacting 2 TD's I have been told the Noob 112 is out of stock at the factory. One told me the H fact one is also unavailable right now.

How long does it usually take for the Noob factory to get more available? 1 month, 2?

I am willing to wait for and pay for the better watch. Just wondering.

It sounds to me like Noob are short of movements at the moment, as I've unsucessfully been trying to get a couple through my usual TDs for the last few weeks, so are probably prioritising the more popular models at the moment.

Material resource planning doesn't seem to be to the rep factory's forte, so the shortages could be filled next week or next month...

My advice; fall for something else for a bit and email your TD again next time you get the watch itch.

Indeed, wait for a while and get the watch you want.

As for straps, I am a bit biased but my personal favs are the ones rolling out of Ach's place!

Thanks all for the suggestions. I wasn't able to get the 112, so I opted for the 111 (the wife liked it more anyways). I ordered it from Sead and got it last night. It looks great and he couldn't have been easier to deal with. I just got the asso strap to start, but am going to be ordering several other custom straps soon. Thanks again, this site is great. Can't wait to order my next one - have a big list already: 26, 127, 176, 195, 375, 441.

Update on this. I asked Trevor and Toro and they informed me that the Noob112 was back in stock. I haven't kicked the PAM bug with the 111v3 that I just got so I went ahead and ordered a Noob 112 and a Noob 390. Already got QC pics that look good and they should be to me shortly.

So if you still want a 112 they are available
