My 111H has been fine, but suddenly has 'taken off'. It's about a mth old, and it gained 30 mins overnight.

Thoughts? Seems like I'll have to return it to Zig for a fix ...

ps sorry, should likely have put this into Watch Repair.

My experience with this problem is that you must have shock the watch somehow. The coil spring kind of tangled up a bit. It happened to me a few time already.

The easy solution is to let the power reserve runs out and the watch stops. Then you would give the watch a little shake before winding it up again. This should fix your problem.

The other possibility is that the watch is magnetized but the chance is remote if it gain time all of a sudden.

Hope that helps.

Tutima,

Thanks for the advice. I may have bumped it y'day (nothing too hard) in brushing past, so hopefully that can be righted by your method.

Many thanks mate! Brad

that magnetic pulse kinda reminds me of "War of The Worlds". It's possible that your watch get magnetized.

I have had one get magnetized and it started to gain random amounts of time, but was mostly 5 to 15 minutes fast all the time. By accident I moved my watch too close to those anti-theft removal things in a store and it did the trick (you know the ones they say to never set your credit card near). Watch was demagnetized and runs perfect now.

I didn't know what happened until a few weeks later.

111H back on track!

Well, @Tutima told me to let my 111H wind down, then knock on it both sides of the case: it started ticking again a couple of times, I assume that the spring has been caught and knocking it un-kinked it, permitting it to wind down.

Re-wound this AM (not fully) and when I got home it appears to be keeping good time again - yay!

Thx Tutima!

Cheers, BBB :p

I am glad that worked for you. It has become a regular problem for me here. Once in a while, I have to do this to correct it.
