111 Noob N V3 stops randomly

I'm reading through this wonderful forum every day. Thank you all for the massive amount of information, especially to ALE.


A friend a my has a Noob 111 N V3. He winds it every day. It is randomly stopping. By turning the hands clockwise it starts running again. And after that, by turning the hands counter clockwise it stops again.


Does someone have any idea how to fix it?

Best to take it to a watchsmith, unless you or your friend have any experience opening up watches, I'd say.

that answer is simple: never

Thank you for your reply. I have the tools to open it but not a clue where to look inside the movement. I can't remove the hands (no tool at this moment)

There is a chance he might have over winded it.
He could always try a firm slap on the watch to see if it fixes the problem, it happened on one of my Pam homages once

Too much friction on train or too weak mainspring. Possible broken jewel. Not easy repair, needs whole movement disassembly.
