I've just purchased a very 'economical' replica from Silix of a Luminor 039 GMT.

Does this model actually exist in the 'Real World' or is it a total fantasy watch :?:

Rob

I purchased it to wear as a daily 'beater' (daily swap over with Planet Ocean 45mm) so I'm not too worried (at £35 I can afford to wear it out :p

Rob, I searched but could not find a PAM 39 GMT in the panerai reference section

What I do find is the PAM 029.. maybe this is what you mean?

Watchlover,

Thanks, but it's nothing like that, I'll post some pictures in a couple of hours.

Thanks again.

That is probably the thinnest crown I have ever seen on a rep.

Looks like a pvd 063, and a bad one too.

It's similar to the 063 in as much as its a GMT watch but thats all. I think I'll stick to the big boys in future!
However if I had access to the kit in CSI I could track down the assembler as the tiny rotor had a complete thumbprint on it!

Rob,
One thing you need to remember is Silix stock#'s are not accurate Panerai numbers. So his stock number PAN039 does not translate to a PAM 039. Jay/Angel seem to use PANS for stock numbers on their "prime" website and just PAN on their regular watch site followed by a number. Hope this helps. Don't know of a PAM 039 but I tend to specialize in Destro watches.

You know I didn't look at the pic before, just the info. As one lefty to another, that is FUGLY! :?

Since I replied earlier I have been wondering again, why Jay/Angel use the stock numbers they do? I hope it is not to deliberately mislead Noobs into ordering there less desirable inventory. I have heard good things about them and am getting ready to place an order myself. Just a nagging question.

Hey does your friend want to tinker, practise some amateur watchmaking skills at that price it would be a good watch to learn on. :p
