024D from DSN

So I've been looking for a 024D from DSN for a while and I thought I'd just pull the trigger on going through him to get one.

This is my experience so far with sending DSN a bank wire payment and going through the process with him.

First I contacted him asking for pics of the watch and he said he had a couple in stock. I got the QC pics and they were amazingly blurry and hard to see details. I got the point but I did notice some weird things. A titanium caseback for a stainless steel watch was the thing that really tripped me out. I emailed him and am waiting for his response. He's working very well at returning my messages and emails.

Then just ask DSN to send the watch with the correct caseback! He is very reliable...

Croc, that 025 looks amazing and that strap is a perfect paring with it. I'm just that much more eager to receive it. I have a Gen accordion rubber and Gen brushed pre-v buckle waiting to be attached to it.

Nice addition with the buckle and rubber. I got the Gen OP rubber and Titanium thumbnail to pair with mine. Gen rubber is great compared to some of the rep crap I've seen!!

Much to my surprise I received my 024D today from DSN!!!!

My initial thoughts are....WOW this is freakin AWESOME!! I ordered it with a croc deployant strap and here goes my review with pics to follow. I'll start with the strap. The strap is kinda poop. It's soft but super super thin. The deployant is a lot more comfortable than I was suspecting. I've heard a lot of people are hit or miss on it and I love it. I tried to put my Gen Rubber strap on it but it turns out that the lugs are too shallow for the gen rubber to fit in there. I settled for the strap that DSN gave with the watch. It's still nice.

The watch: The first thing that I notice that I don't like is that the bezel spins like a top. Basically it's super lose and even throwing your wrist quickly in one direction will definitely turn the bezel. I'm thinking it's not that big of a deal because I rarely use bezels for anything let alone actually diving. The movement inside is really smooth. Reminiscent to that of a gyro if you guys know what that feels like. Very solid.

Basically, it's shiny, it's new and it's all that it's chocked up to be!! Thanks DSN for the great buy.

Croc: It looks like I might have to pick up that 025, the matte titanium is growing on me!

Oh, I also never realized that the cyclops is actually underneath the crystal and not on top like rolexes and other watches. Another very cool feature.
