Today I finished my project-?AM004b.
Noob case , crystal, hands (I had to change the cover. Polishing felt disc with the addition of aluminum dust. It is possible to achieve the right shade)

Nice! Fine Job Sir!

I assume you are talking about Alu. Oxide polishing compound? There are many grades, with the top two grades for metal work being Green Chrome and Pure green. I've used a ton of the stuff in my business.

White block Alu. Oxide is also very good, but a bit courser, with a lot easier clean up!

The results with it are very predictable with experience with it . Very "Good Stuff"
The harder the material, the better it works.

Works with the body took place in the studio of my jeweler. aluminum oxide was used.
Case has been completely disassembled and heating to a high temperature. After cooled with a special solution with the addition of acid. Final work- polishing with the use of aluminum dust.
I feel at home it will be difficult to do.

Would love to know the temp of the oven, and time in. and the type of acid as well.

I have a very nice heat treat oven here, and access to the acids.

Once again, Looks Fantastic!:punk:

I would think that 1200 to 1475 F would work, to bring the carbon to the surface. If it comes out even, it would be a fairly hard surface indeed! ;-)
