Just a quick shot of the awesome lume on my Seiko Black Monster. I am still amazed how Seiko gets the lume so bright and it lasts forever.
Sure wish reps came like this.
Seiko definitely gets it right with the lume. Ive got 4 monsters, 2 custom ones and 2 standard and all glow like torches.
I think anyone looking for an awesome GEN for under 200 bucks should definitely get a monster.
i have to agree. the lume on those bad boys is very impressive. much better than some swiss made gen lume even. my tissot prc200 lume was weak and now i have a RW Sport Chrono who's lume is better... but not nearly as impressive as those seikos!
The Monster is legendary for it's lume, and it's reliability.
The only other watch with lume like this is LumTec. A bit more expensive than the Seiko, but very cool and worth every penny.

I was asking myself the same point when comparing my Seiko's and my Rep's lume.
My latest Diver 100 lumes like a torch all night long... and the other good points are seiko is cheap, tons of parts available & can be easily modded (think i find my new hands & bezel )
I have to take pictures of the lume on my Bell and Ross watches. Very nice lume as well. But the Monster and the LUM TEC watches are still the champs.
Im not sure what the helicopter manufacturers are using for some of the indicators on teh throttle of the collectives but it glows better than anything I have seen since the real tritium. I have to take picturs of it and even in low light with little charge, it glows pretty good. Ill get pics of that too.
The Lum-Tec is unreal. I havent taken any pictures of mine yet, but man it glows like a torch.
Luminox is awesome also, but it is more of a stealth type lume. Just bright enough where you can see it, but not too bright that it gives your position away.
