That's a nice piece !

The white gloves are just a good way to avoid finger prints on watches and guns blued finishes,
not a Free Mason signature... :biglaugh:

Very nice watch. I'd replace the band though, and the larger Rolex spring bars are a must! No Rolex looks good until those lug holes are filled with a nice spring bar end...

+1 The band is overkill and actually lets this beauty down. That insert needs to stand out. It's so beautiful.
on most of the gen pics I have seen they have been on a crock band like the one on it ...... but I do understand what your saying ......... what bracelet should i put on it a standard ss a jubilee give me some ideas folks i want this to look its best .................as it really is a fine watch ....................who did I get it from ..................
well I got it from tictac after bending his arm till it broke :err: he should come forward and tell us more about this watch .............. i hope you do mate ............ after all we dont own these watches we are just the keepers of them till the next person get the privilege :)

This kind of dial and insert was found on 1675 and early 16750 -16713 for TT - GMT Master for the 1675 and then Master II on a thicker case on the early 16750 production

These watches had a plexi cristal and a wider insert, 4mm large instead of 3,5mm on the latest GMT II

On the watch I sold to pcsam I replaced the sapphire by an original high plexi cyclop 116 and the 4mm wide insert. To adapt the insert its necessary to enlarge the bezel ring.
Lug holes have a 1mm diameter, I did not drill to 1,2mm like the gen, as most of rep cases have wrong holes position and 75% of the time if you drill, the risk is to ruin the case

The dial style was called "Tiger Eye" and also "Rot Beer" it was also another kind of dial, dull brown called "Chocolate" with gold nipple markers.

These watches are very class with a leather strap, the right steel band for this piece would be a TT Jubilee

pcsam, you can find a generic TT Jubilee at an affordable price here :
http://stores.ebay.com/WHOLESALEOUTLET990_JUBILEE-WATCH-BAND_
I can send you a matching Rolex engraved clasp

Some pics of gens :

here the cristal and insert difference between the Tiger and a regular Master II pepsi

very rare: a 1675 with a tiger dial and nipple markers

i have spent the last 2 hours doing a Hannibal on a few braclets .from GMT to datona to a ss jubilee .... aftet all of that and a bit of hair pulling i managed to get some sort of bracelet on Sylvester (that's his name ) ..............
ill let you lot decide what boots Sylvester will wear :unsure2:

ss4h.jpg

I fixed the bracelet after the photo so now the pin is in properly (im to lazy to take another) .....................:arghh:
Sylvester now has a pride of place position next to my MBW 1665 in number one winder.......... I had to relegate another MBW 1660 so he could be with the top dog ............
he is happy now but unsure if he wants leather or steel ..............

the sexual favours i had to do for tictac on top of shed-full of used francs and a few hides of Scottish Aberdeen Angus just to get this watch means he wont be going to a new home for a wile yet. he is happy in his new home bossing all my other reps about a bit now he is joint top dog in the collection ................ :bananalama:

MAN! Tictac has the best watches. Congrats on that purchase. It's absolutely gorgeous! I was lucky enough to buy a pepsi 16710 from tictac and have never been so happy. I swear my brain thinks I'm wearing the real thing. Big thumbs up to tictac!

How do you drill the lug holes! I have a few rolex reps and none have lug holes. I really want to add them. Please let me know.

While sickened that you blinded that tiger I like the watch. Not so sure about the strap but pretty classy.

I personally like it better on the strap but it would look much better if you could find a strap that covers the serial numbers. Something like this one.
