So i lent my friend my tag Carrera chrono, valjoux 7750, and he forgot to use the "start" button to stop the chrono instead of using the "reset" button.

The chrono wont work although it did work immidiately after. When it worked, the chrono's second hands stopped at the 25 second mark and the entire watch would come to a halt as well. Now the watch works but the chrono is completely dead.

What is the problems and how can i fix this?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hmm, I once called a friend who is a cardiologist and asked why I was having shooting pains down my right arm. He said to get to the hospital immediately because there was no way he could diagnose such a delicate matter over the phone.
Similar situation here... The a7750 chronograph movement is one of the more complicated ones out there. ALOT can go wrong, and not knowing how to use it (your friend, NOT you) can lead to all kinds of bad things.
It could be something as simple as a displaced lever, or it could be a totally hacked movement needing a complete overhaul. But again, its not something that we can work you through via email, PM or over the phone.
Here is a link to the eta website with some interesting information about the 7750 and how it functions.

This raises a strange dillema that I have thought about before. Should the friend pay for the repair.
