Found my old Watch... what next?

I've found my old Pierre Cardin watch - it still works.

I'm gonna use it as a learning tool and strip it down.

Anybody care to share some pointers, best practice etc?

Don't do it in a room with carpet on the floor.
Avoid coffee; it will make your hands shake; seriously!
When you hit a problem, stop, post and wait for a reply.

lol i found an old automatic sandoz watch. i opened it and destroyed it. i took it all apart. the watch died anyway and was in very poor condition. over 30 years old.
