My post have been edited several times at Repgeek...yes I didn't use RG...I spelled it out completely.
I am losing all respect for them. Then the mods have the nerve to PM me and really have nothing but contradictory opinions about my feelings regarding thread deletions and posts being deleted.
It's getting out of hand at that place...hope it doesn't happen here...Then I will be required to only visit RWG....

Well... RWG is an awesome place... but it won't happen here... so, you'll have 2 of them...
People don't seem to understand... we edit so little but you all make such a big deal when we do... you could start a thread with the subject of "LOS is an a$$hat" and I would leave it there, provided you had good reasons for the thread...
I believe everyone should have their opinions and be able to express them in a positive manner.... don't insult anyone, don't use racial/lifestyle slurs, and don't mention those two dealers and the staff will have little use for the edit button...

I think that would be valuble to noobs that pop in and may just save someone alot of grief and make them a valuable contributing member here.

Post one, then after noticing my words had been changed and no sign of who did it ("edit" was not there at first), my second post. Then some time after, the "edit" line was added to the first post.
I was still very new at using these forums (a month or two), or any forum for that matter, so I was not happy with what had happened. This resulted in my spending much more time on RG, and much less time here. I'm sure many would say that was a good thing, but I just thought I'd let you know one of the reasons I started being more active over there, but not here.

is this really the opinion you have taken after these 8 or 9 pages in this thread?
This is the kind of damage that can be done by someone who starts a thread like this.. many people do not read the thread except for the first post or two and then they make a comment,, and they are left with the opinion that this place (RWI) has the potential to turn into some other place that they dont like.
What I take from this is that these types of maintenance edits have become very routine for us which might leave us to forget to leave our explanation.. it's not out of disrespect but simply something that is routine maintenance.
I think we (staff) have learned something from this thread,, I sure as hell hope our newer staff members (although guilty of nothing) see how important it is to refrain from editing unless necessary.
I have to admit, towards the beginning of this thread I was extremely upset over it,, now towards the end,, it has been down right comical some of the posts that have been made.
Some peoples posts absolutely floor me how they would support hambone's position of being this upset and irate and leave the forum because
"trusty time" was changed to "TT" which allowed most members to realize who he was talking about while still respecting our forum position that those dealers will not get free advertisement on this forum. And people actually supported this?? WTF? I'm completely flabbergasted..

Actually, I have been laughing for about 15 minutes cos of this pic.
Have the staff here given you any reason to expect that it would? Again, we don't, and never have, edited for content unless there was some sort of insult/attack that was WAY, WAY overboard.
We're not talking about editing the intent or "flavor" of a post here, just the dealer name within that post.
Quite frankly, I'm shocked and disappointed that Hambone decided to go this route, regardless of whatever personal issues he is having.
We do our best to make this forum a fun, interesting and educational place for all of our members. I don't see how editing out the Cartel dealer's names would inhibit that in any way. As D4M stated, those dealers are easily found at the other rep fora or through a quick Google search.
If this bare minimum of editing/censoring offends anyone's sensibilities, they are free to move on to the next forum. No hard feelings.
Well have to agree with D4M this thread has served no useful purpose other than causing bad feeling and burning bridges.
