What about the Omega Ultimate Planet Ocean? If you get the logo fix and the correct lugs it's pretty much spot on.

The UPO was released in 2007, I believe. I think this poll was specific to watches released in 2008.

I would like to pick the Avenger Skyland as my best choice.

While you have listed many watches there, I will try to avoid Rolex reps, no matter how good it is. There is always a stigma sticked at a Rolex time pieces (i.e.: fake unless proven otherwise). Apart from that, Rolex reps are not without any faults, even WM9 version. I am surprised to learn that current poll leader is the ceramic GMT. This is clearly not the most accurate around. Different bezel ceramic colour and inlay quality coupled with a few reliability issue of the movement.

The Porsche lost because of open caseback (instant tell of hi beat Asian 7750).

Super Avenger comes close but again, the size matters for some of us.

As for the Chronomat, this used to be my favourite winner but then again it just lacks of the real Bretling "bling" on the dial. If you see in person, the dial is still fall short of high quality.

I have to agree that even Skyland is not perfect (lume dots, lume). But it's easily the winner here (for what it's worth).

To date, to find a 100% accurate rep is chasing a pipe dream. Many come very close but I have yet to encounter a rep that is 100% faithful to it's genuine counterpart.

PS: Some say PAM Fer008 is super close. I have to agree with this observation but the instant tell is: start the chronograph, minute hand will jump at 57-58 seconds mark (instant tell for ALL hi beat Asian 7750).

Not at all, as has been said over and over in this thread the Ebel Discovery is 99.5 percent perfect (what's a half mill on pushers?) and the Timewalker and Academie are prob about 97 percent. To me that's 1:1
OKE, it's not quite 100% but If you are going to haggle over .5% , go buy the gen.

Col.

PS: Yes, we have missed you mate.

LOL Seem everybody is touchy about this educated comment. It was not meant as an insult, I respects you guys and learn lot from this forum.
What I meant by an educated poll is that to have along side the watch being put to vote an explanation of its accuracy. I didn't want to argue so I leave it at that. Hope this puts my comment in a better perspective.

Voted for GMT2 and Breitling Blacksteel...though still felt AP ROOs are done fairly accurately. Can't deny the V3 blacksteel still, and the GMT2...can't contest.

I am confused. By "accurate", are we talking about time keeping accuracy? or rep-to-gen exterior accuracy?

This may be an old thread but if you have had the opportunity to read the thread completely you will notice there is very little that is said about the time keeping accuracy.

Everything discussed is the appearance of the rep with respect to the original (gen).

I agree that one can become confused but I am sure if you reread ALL the posts in this thread you will come to the correct conclusion.

I care not for any of the watches listed to choose from, so there is no choice to make.

The square indexes on the inner rehaut is supposedly lumed on ebel discovery. The datefont is also wrong. Contrary what you see on catalogue or online, the real deal uses standard ETA date font.
