Just stumbled upon this article about Seiko luxury watches and thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope I chose right section of the forum for that.

Seiko makes some pretty nice watches. They have now come out with the 36000 bph automatic watch.

Thanks for the great read! I'm a big Seiko fan. I really like the fact that they are in house from start to finish. Not too many companies doing that any more.

Yep, Seiko and Orient make good watches. No snob appeal, just value. I paid less for my Black Monster than a lot of reps. It glows like a torch and I am not afraid to take it under water.

My primary every-day watch is an Orient Mako II. I don't have a rep better than this watch. I also have a Seiko quartz that gets frequent use as a daily beater.
At work, I don't need to impress anyone. As a matter of fact, I don't want to wear an expensive watch - it sends the wrong message in my business. I just need something that looks good, feels good, is dependable and accurate, and that I'm not afraid to beat up a bit.
I also frequently wear a Swiss Legend that is Tungsten. It's virtually un-scratchable, but quite heavy and not as comfortable as the Orient.

+1 on the Monster. That's the watch in my avatar. Best beater watch I own. You could land planes with the lume.
