Hello:
I searched high and low...
Does anybody know the correct case thickness of the present Daytonas?
Dealers are stating anything between 13.5 and 17.00 mm.
Really like what they are calling the "2009" modell. Any opinions yet?
Also: I´ve had some good experience with "asian7750.com", but have not read anything about them here.

...12mm for the SS versions and 13mm for the FullGold ones if I´m not mistaken, the cases are different for each model, but not bigger than 13mm.

the replicas are completely wrong when it comes to thickness, due to the needed space to acomodate the 7750 movements inside of it. Compare a GEN (even in pics) with a rep, and you will notice that on the rep, the case is thicker, the bezel is more curved - higher angle - and the rehaut is deeper, than the GEN.
...Talking about visual accuracy, the only Daytona rep that gets really closer - the closest you could get - to the GEN, is the a21j models. But then you would have to sacrifice the chrono functionality to achieve that look on the wrist. It´s all up to you, mate :)

I´m on my 4th Daytona, and all of them are/were a21j versions...

Check this review of mine, and the other review that I link to inside that review, and you should have a good sight on what you´re looking for:

Hey Spirit:
Thank you VERY much for the insight :!:
Great review too!!
As you say, that constant sweeping second hand on a 21J would be a sacrifice. I don´t think I would want to settle for that, although they are probably the more reliable movements.
Once more: Thanks a lot.

WOW thanks Spirit for that insight, I been looking out for a good Rolex Daytona and was going to settle for the Pro Hunter Daytona or a EverRose 18k Daytona 7750 swiss. (the Pro Hunter seems ok but the EverRose has flaws such as the 24Daytona engraving, but I didn't know they had all those other flaws,

I own a 21j Daytona, it may have correct case dimensions but apart from that there are loads of flaws (weight, quality, serials, etc)
