Congrats on the new addition to your collection. The Datron is one of my all time favorite collections from Movado. Glad to see another fan here on the forums.

That one looks great.

I think the Datron is the only Movado line I like. That and a few of their vintage-looking watches. I love their Gentry models. Have had two.

Got this from the M2M. Crown or tube stripped. Did a nice little mod I learned a while back. Cutting the stem enough to make the crown flush and give it a screwed in appearance.

As received.

It took two extra stems, three in total.

From left to right: the original, the test-dummy, the final specimen.

The final result.

It wasn’t running very well, but, it has a high amplitude meaning that it just needs a tweak in the beat error and the seconds a day.

Gave the bracelet an ultrasonic clean and ta-da. She’s ready for a few more years of use.

I hope you enjoy this revival story as much I enjoyed doing it.
